This Time Last Year : Greta Scacchi did Mata Hari in North London Theatre..
GRETA SCACCHI is running late for our interview, an ominous sign which suggests a full-blown diva will eventually sweep into the cafe of the Watford Palace Theatre. Instead the 41-year-old actress turns up in martyred-mother mode, her luminous Botticelli beauty only slightly dimmed by the puffy eyes, unmade-up face and anonymous jumper-and-jeans uniform of working mums on the run. "Theatre is an awkward job to do when you have school-age children, much more so than film," she remarks plaintively before sending for a takeaway salad. "I find it really, really hard."
